This typeface was created so as to make horizontal lines of fonts display properly on TV monitors and screen of computer games with limited scanning lines, not disappeared or flickered. It has thicker horizontal lines than regular Mincho and the weight of whole characters are set in the most appropriate size after the discussion with the actual production site.
